Cohen Holloway

Actor [Ngāti Toa]

Cohen Holloway’s teen talent for impersonations lead him to showcase his John Campbell impression on sketch show Facelift, and bro'Town.  He proved he could play serious when he won a Qantas Award for TV drama Until Proven Innocent. Since then he has played a gang member in Boy, a real estate agent in Māori TV hit Find Me A Māori Bride, a dodgy cowboy in Good For Nothing and a dopey husband in comedy Fresh Eggs.

...on the set he'd be telling terrible jokes — blue jokes, purple jokes — and then he’d switch like that, and you’d get David . . . it was a massive transition. He wasn’t just putting a face on; he’d switch into this character. Actor Peter Elliott on Cohen Holloway's ability to move between silly and serious, while making TV movie Until Proven Innocent, in a 15 September 2009 ScreenTalk interview
