Aroha Bridge

This animated comedy about a brother and sister seeking musical fame began as a comic strip by Jessica Hansell, aka musician Coco Solid. The comic featured in short-lived music mag Volume. To launch the web series version, Hansell joined forces with music/animation collective Skyranch. Aroha Bridge debuted in May 2013, under its original title Hook Ups. After two seasons of shorter episodes, a series of half-hour episodes hit Māori Television in July 2019. The cast includes Hansell, Madeleine Sami and rapper Rizván Tu'itahi.
