This best of compilation from McPhail & Gadsby's 1983 season offers up a mixed bag of songs, political sketches, and even an extended pantomime — plus parodies of TV commercials long forgotten, but once known to legions of Kiwi viewers. Among the highlights: "pronouncing things proper", from trade unionist Jim Knox (Jon Gadsby); This Is Your Life, featuring David McPhail’s infamous caricature of Prime Minister Rob Muldoon; Lynn Waldegrave’s colourful impersonation of music show host Karyn Hay; and, hidden after the closing credits, a take-off of Kiwi television's old late night sign off, Goodnight Kiwi.
You had him banned in Bombay, purged in Peking, and muzzled in Melbourne. We've got him here tonight, the man you loved to hate.– This is Your Life host Eamon Andrews (Jon Gadsby) introduces Rob Muldoon's final guest (in clip four)
