The reverence of the 2008 Anzac Day wreathlaying ceremony is highlighted in this annual event from the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior at Wellington's National War Memorial. Diplomats from across the globe pay their respects, alongside Governor-General Anand Satyanand, John Key and Trevor Mallard, and Wellington mayor Kerry Prendergast. Presenter Ian Johnstone provides a knowledgeable and unobtrusive commentary that brings historical context to proceedings. The coverage is thoughtfully directed by Ron Pledger and beautifully-shot, making for a poignant tribute to those who served.
