An office descends into slow motion chaos in Chris Graham's music video for 'Hit The Wall'. Presumably fed up with meetings in front of white boards writ with words like "capital" and "society", the white collar workers — including Kora vocalist Francis Kora — decide to fight back. Laptops are battered, water coolers shattered, and tables flipped over. Or it could all just be a fantastic daydream — one surely not uncommon amongst the deskbound. The song is taken from Kora’s 2012 album Light Years, which peaked at number two on the Kiwi album charts.
Essentially I wanted to make shoot a slow-motion study of office anarchy, so that it would look beautiful like ballet ... I also wanted to blur the lines of what may seem to be imagined by these characters, and what is actual, as in did they really all quit their jobs and trash the office, or only daydream it?– Director Chris Graham on this video, The NZ Herald, 20 November 2013
