In the 2020 general election, Chlöe Swarbrick became the first Green Party MP under New Zealand's MMP voting system to win an electorate, without an 'understanding' with Labour. It was another major moment in a hectic political career which has included a run for Auckland Mayor, and global attention for her "OK Boomer" aside during a parliamentary debate. This admiring short film captures Swarbrick in the throes of her 2020 Auckland Central campaign. She reflects on the punishing pace of Parliament, the need for self-care and harnessing people power to influence a political system which she describes as "f****d".
