Presented by Kadambari Raghukumar, Namaste New Zealand celebrates the Indian migrant experience in Aotearoa. The first story looks at ayurveda, an ancient Indian health practice centred around balancing energy in the body mainly through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and natural treatments. Dr Priya Punjabi talks about how her ayurvedic practise helps a wide range of health conditions. Raghukumar also interviews Kiwi Indian scientist turned actor Mayen Mehta and young dressmaker Nazneen Daruwalla, who specialises in bespoke bridal gowns. The show concludes with Raj Balakrishnan cooking a fish curry.
Personally for me I like it when things go wrong. It keeps me alive. It makes me a little bit mischievous and naughty.– Actor and creative Mayen Mehta on enjoying the live theatre experience
