Right On

It's all aboard the party bus in 'Right On', another single from OMC's 1996 platinum selling debut album How Bizarre. The song uses a similar recipe as Pauly Fuemana's blockbuster, career-making single — there's the distinctive mariarchi horns and a laid-back, Pasifika flavoured slide guitar. The video begins outside a trendy Auckland cafe with coffee and chess, where Fuemana starts dreaming of his past. Soon he's taking a colourful bus ride with mates (including "Elvisi' behind the wheel), heading back into his childhood in a mythical 'Island Bay', and leading a campfire singalong as the moon rises. 

Following in the steps of their massive worldwide hit 'How Bizarre', 'Right On' doesn’t stray very far from the winning sound of 'How Bizarre'. It has the Pacific guitar, ladies singing the chorus, mariachi horns and a handy catchphrase. It’s a fine pop song in its own right, but tends to pale in comparison to 'How Bizarre'.
