Greg Johnson , Music Video – 1996
A decadent spread of food and wine features in the music video for Greg Johnson's 'Softly On Me'. Opening with images taken after the party, the video skips around in time to show the band performing, and Johnson enjoying the bounty. En route he laments why "I'm always falling". The track was produced by Dave Dobbyn; Boh Runga and Trevor Reekie feature in the band. Prolific music video director Jonathan King made this clip. A year prior to releasing this non-album single, Johnson won Best Male Vocalist at the 1995 New Zealand Music Awards.
