Presenter Ginette McDonald explores the ever-expanding world of alternative therapies in documentary Trick or Treatment, meeting therapists, practitioners, true believers and sceptics. McDonald looks into well-known therapies, like massage, aromatherapy and Chinese medicine, but she also visits a spiritual healer, a bio-harmonic architect and lets loose on the dance floor with a psychotherapist. Colour therapist Colin Lambert claims he cured himself of cancer, while doctors, like Robin Briant, are concerned about people with serious illnesses refusing conventional treatments.
