This eye-catching music video sees singer Jonny Love walking the length of New Zealand with a hand from stop motion animation. Stitching together 3500 still images, the video takes stop motion techniques normally used to animate models (e.g. movie The Nightmare Before Christmas), and applies them to Love. With locations stretching from Bluff to Cape Reinga, it took a four-person team 22 days to film. 'Weight of Tomorrow' featured on Love's second album Courage, which he recorded in England (where he was raised).
Eye-blisteringly gorgeous ... A stop motion time-lapse walk across Aotearoa is a simple idea for a music video in the same way an aeroplane is a simple idea for a mode of transport. The actual execution of said idea requires an abundance of planning and a valiant amount of perseverance.– Critic Liam Maguren praises the video, Flicks, 2 July 2018
