Some of Antony Starr’s earliest screen roles were on Shortland Street, on which he played three different characters. But unlike Van and Jethro West in Outrageous Fortune, those characters didn't make a habit of turning up in the same scene. Starr has also starred in movie After the Waterfall, TV movie Spies and Lies, and American series Banshee.
In this ScreenTalk conducted before Starr relocated to the United States, Starr talks about:
I want them to be in control because it takes responsibility off me . . . If the director's not forceful and they don’t make a real imprint creatively, then that leaves it up to me to make decisions, and I don’t want to do that. I just want to be in the moment.– Antony Starr on how he prefers to be directed, early in this interview
