Polly Fryer

British-born Polly Fryer began her screen career in London, at Ridley Scott's commercials company RSA Films. After various production gigs, she moved downunder in 2006. By 2008 she was Head of Production at Auckland company Desert Road. In-between managing Desert Road's development slate, Fryer produced Emmy-nominated docudrama The Golden Hour, and worked on series How to Look at a Painting. Going solo in 2013, she went on to produce award-winning quake documentary The Day that Changed My Life and David Farrier's Netflix show Dark Tourist. In 2019 she joined Netflix as one of the company's non-fiction executives.
