Tanya Black is one of the key people behind disabilities show Attitude. After featuring on the show while rehabilitating from an accident which took the use of her legs in 2006, she joined Attitude as a reporter. She later became co-host, before moving behind the scenes into management. Black has covered high profile stories ranging from the Teina Pora case, to interviews with 9/11 first responders in New York. These days she is General Manager of Partnerships for the Attitude Group, helping find ways for corporates and organisations to connect with their audience.
I think straight after my accident I really couldn't imagine, years on, that I would be travelling the world, that I would be working full time, that I'd be supporting myself, that I'd be doing all the things and more that I'd been doing before my accident ... I realised that life is just different and for me, I think life is better than it was before. Tanya Black, in an interview for website Attitude Live
