Anna Lynch
Anna Lynch is a producer and development executive who has helmed some of New Zealand's most popular reality television shows of the 2000s. After graduating from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Arts, Lynch got her screen start in 1989 as a producer's assistant at TVNZ. Since then, she has produced for the Kiwi versions of such shows as The Bachelor, The X Factor, My Restaurant Rules and Next Top Model. Her producer credits also include documentary series like The Casketeers and Shearing Gang — both made during her time at Great Southern Television.
Reality TV is a way for us to observe our fellow humans at play, and if a show is well cast, properly budgeted and produced with heart — there's no reason why it can't add meaningfully to the zeitgeist, whilst simultaneously entertaining the viewer. Anna Lynch, 25 May 2023
