Kiwi Charlotte Evans started her filmmaking career in London in 2007, learning about editing from British veteran Rick Waller. After returning to New Zealand in 2010, the Canterbury University graduate worked as both a director and an editor — including helming music videos for the likes of Benee, Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding and Kimbra. In 2018 she led a team of female filmmakers on award-winning interactive project Give Kate A Voice, which commemorated 125 years of women’s suffrage in New Zealand. In 2020 she directed Loading Docs short film OK Chlöe, about Green MP Chloe Swarbrick.
After seeing Charlotte Evans' work with Aldous Harding, it was a no-brainer for me to want to work with her and her team over in New Zealand... Australian musician Stella Donnelly on Charlotte Evans' music video work, Great Things website, 9 March 2018
