Colin Moy won an NZ Screen Award for his role as Andrew, strait-laced brother to the main character in acclaimed big screen drama In My Father's Den (2004). Since then he has played his share of policemen (Underbelly NZ), military (Major General Andrew Marshall, in The Forgotten General) and other authority figures (Shortland Street). In 2014 movie Orphans and Kingdoms, his character faced a home invasion. Moy also works as an actor's agent; in 2016 magazine Screen International included him on a list of future screen industry leaders. The same year he left company Red 11 to launch agency Lion Rock Management.
Moy is friendly and easy-going with a thoughtful nature that makes him great company and an interesting interview. With sparkling blue eyes and an athletic build, it's no surprise he is often cast as policemen, engineers and other strong characters. NZ Herald writer Shannon Huse, in a 17 June 2008 interview with Colin Moy
