Dianne Lindesay has been a producer, researcher and writer. Lindesay began working on documentaries in the mid 1990s, while studying Communications at Auckland Institute of Technology. Since then she has been a researcher on everything from TV's Descent from Disaster to big screen documentary Billy T: Te Movie. She has also produced a number of factual series, including NZ Screen Award winner Hidden in the Numbers (2006), which uses statistics to chronicle changes in Aotearoa. In 2009 Lindesay produced and co-wrote the acclaimed Lost In Translation, in which comedian Mike King explores the history of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Not only does she uncover people you never knew existed, she tracks them down, phones or visits them and comes back with six pages of notes. Without a Di you can't make a doco. Billy T: Te Movie writer/director Ian Mune on Dianne Lindesay
