Christchurch-raised Jamaine Ross first gained comedy fame in 2012 when he took out the Raw Comedy Quest. In 2014 he was nominated for a Billy T Award, followed by a Fred Award nomination in 2018 as part of trio Frickin Dangerous Bro. On-screen he has appeared in various shows, including Brown Eye, Only in Aotearoa, and 7 Days. Ross has also directed and edited on the latter two shows, as well as for popular comedy series Jono and Ben. Ross has appeared in and worked behind the scenes on short films including School of Fools and A Letter to a Samurai.
