John Boyd
Director
John Boyd is a Wellington-based television director. He has worked on many Avalon Studios productions for TVNZ, including Good Morning, Fair Go, Backchat, Bookenz and Frontseat.
In the early 2000s, when TVNZ Children's Unit was based at Avalon, Boyd directed a number of popular children's productions. These included:What Now?, What Now PM and Wired.
More recently Boyd directed the children's programmes Wannabes, for Whitebait Productions, and The Simon Eliot Show, for The Gibson Group.
Boyd is also an experienced lighting technician, having worked on a number of Avalon's entertainment shows such as Battle of the Ballroom.
