Kate Rodger

With decades of experience, Kate Rodger is one of the most prolific entertainment reporters on New Zealand television. Rodger studied at Christchurch Polytechnic Broadcasting School, before getting her start in radio as a producer and DJ for stations like Radio Taranaki and Classic Hits. Upon returning from an overseas stint in 2003, she became a frequent face on New Zealand screens. She has worked in a variety of roles — film critic, presenter, reporter and producer — for shows like The Project, Campbell Live and most often Newshub. An avid film lover, Rodger hosted her own entertainment and film review show in 2010, Reel Late with Kate. 

...thinking on my feet is something I've always been quite proud of, and I'm 100 percent relaxed about it as a general rule ... you don't get to do a re-do, if you're live, you don't get to do it or say it again.
