Mark Tierney co-founded electro-pop group Strawpeople, with Paul Casserly. Tierney’s career involves both music and film, and he has worked as a music producer and a cameraman. He presented music show CV (1989), auditioned Popstars for the influential show of the same name, and has directed a run of music videos. Having left Aotearoa in 2000, Tierney now lives in the United States. He co-wrote Iraq documentary Return to Kirkuk, directed and co-wrote London-set thriller Moving Target, and was one of the camera operators on Billie Eilish concert film Happier Than Ever. He has continued to shoot and direct music videos and adverts.
