Kiwi Peter O'Brian became an action movie star in Indonesia, thanks to his resemblance to Sylvester Stallone. O'Brian had no acting experience. While visiting Jakarta, he was offered a starring role as gun-toting vigilante Rambu, in The Intruder (1986). Over the next 12 years he worked on another seven features, often starring and doing his own stunts. He did motorbike chases, and hung from a helicopter by one arm. In Triple Cross (aka Angel of Fury) he faced off against martial arts world champ Cynthia Rothrock. O'Brian looked back on his screen career for 2019 short documentary Operation Rambu, and expressed his desire to return to acting.
