Sacha Campbell joined Television New Zealand as an assistant editor, and was soon operating their Avid editing machine. After four years, she began a year of assistant editing on film, and was awoken to the tangible pleasures of 16mm film.
The Northern Hemisphere soon beckoned. Despite the lack of sunlight and drinkable coffee, Campbell survived for five years in London's cut-throat freelance environment. Her eclectic cache of clients included the BBC and the SciFi Channel.
On her return to New Zealand, she was hired by Wellington company Sauce Post, where she was utilised as senior editor, working on commercials, corporates, documentaries, short film and music videos.
Then the wild world of freelance beckoned. Campbell went on to weave her magic on shows like A Taste of Home and New Zealand's Got Talent.
Sacha Campbell is sometimes credited as Sacha Childers.
