Shortland Street Babies

There's nothing quite like the birth of a baby to tug at the heartstrings, and Shortland Street has had its fair share over the years. This spotlight features some of the more notable Ferndale arrivals, including the show's first birth — in the very first episode — involving a car crash and the intervention of one Doctor Ropata. Also included are wee Tuesday Warner, born on a stormy night in a leaky boat, and Tillie Potts, who entered the world in a roadside ditch. In 2018 Billy McCaskill arrived in Ferndale as the soap's first intersex child.
