Made by filmmaker Adam Jones, and screened on TV3, this documentary captures some of New Zealand's most talented drivers as they prepare for and fight to the finish line of the 66th New Zealand Grand Prix. With a mix of legends and newcomers, the races are packed with gritty turns and unexpected injuries. The event also marked veteran driver Ken Smith's 50th Grand Prix, an incredible achievement. In the final race, Shane van Gisbergen surprises everyone as he takes out first place after starting from the pit lane. North Waikato's Hampton Downs hosted the NZ Grand Prix for the first time in 2021.
It's as much about the people as it is the racing.– Director Adam Jones on the documentary
