Observational stand-up, political humour and ukelele singalongs all feature in this 2015 comedy showcase, hosted by Urzila Carlson (7 Days). The line-up at Takapuna's Bruce Mason Centre includes all five nominees for that year's Billy T James Award; Alice Brine, Matt Stellingwerf, James Malcolm, Laura Daniel and eventual winner David Correos. The highlights include comedy group Frickin Dangerous Bro skewering lower decile education, an alternative feminist anthem from musical duo The Fan Brigade, observations on the "cult" of CrossFit from Eli Matthewson, and newcomer Eamonn Marra's comedy of anxiety.
I'm not sure if I want to stop shaking because currently it's about 80% of the exercise I get.– Eamonn Marra on the upside of anxiety
