Aukaha

In 2021 iwi radio broadcasters from across the Central North Island joined forces to produce Māori news and current affairs show Aukaha. The weekly regional news show highlights pan-tribal stories that matter most to Māori communities. Presented entirely in te reo Māori, the show brings local stories from a team of local journalists. Aukaha’s half-hour show is broadcast on Whakaata Māori’s channel Te Reo, alongside weekday news bulletins broadcast on iwi radio stations across the region.
