Elderly couple Bert and Maisy are creatures of comfort, but Christmas day is going to look very different this year, what with moving out of their large family home, and into Maisy's sisters. This episode unpacks the struggles and nuances of the common Kiwi Christmas — complete with dinner table arguments and whispered gossip. Robert Lord adapted his stage play for television, and Alice Fraser (Close to Home) and Grant Tilly reprised their roles as Bert and Maisy. Gliding On's Michael Haigh and Katy Beasley also feature.
