Both Worlds

Television, 2012–2018

In documentary series Both Worlds, subjects turn the camera on themselves to express their experience of being a young New Zealander. Aged between 18 and 30, the subjects were chosen to tell personal stories of artistic pursuit, belonging or cultural identity. Over seven seasons, the series told the stories of 66 people — giving voice to a diverse range of young voices including migrants, refugees, and artists. The directors included Julia Parnell (The Chills), Dane Giraud (Luella Miller) and Stephen Kang (Blue).
