In 2012, after some negotiations with their faithful manager, Flight of the Conchords sat down with some Kiwi children. They wanted to get back in touch with what the kids were about. Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement were creating a special song for health research charity Cure Kids; the kids supplied them with lyrical ideas involving bubbles and a major overhaul of the banking system. Then a superstar team of Kiwi singers and rappers joined the Conchords in the studio. The chart-topping song's mix of deep concern and nonsensical rhyming both celebrates and parodies charity efforts like ‘We are the World’.
We need to build a trap, so we can catch all the robbers / we'll take their money, we'll rob the robbers / so we can fill a house, fill a house full of dollars.– Lyrics from 'Feel Inside'
