In the first episode of this madcap sitcom, fallen Foreign Affairs high flyer Leighton Mills (Craig Parker) arrives at the Auckland consulate of The Most Royal Kingdom of Fe'ausi, with orders to whip the office into shape — an outcome its loquacious ambassador (David Fane) would rather avoid. Mills meets the possibly corrupt staff, including "lady-lover" Malepe Fa'auigaese (Mario Gaoa), Tourist Liason Suga Fa'auigaese (Kayte Ferguson) and the ambassador's daughter Leilani (Lesley Ann Brandt), who claims she's a political prisoner. The show was created by James Griffin (Outrageous Fortune, Serial Killers).
Now these concerns that concern you, I agree, they are concerning. But they don't really concern you.– Ambassador Jonah Fa'auigaese (Dave Fane) brushes off the concerns of NZ Foreign Affairs official Leighton Mills (Craig Parker)
