Explorers

After following the path of Captain James Cook for series Captain's Log, presenter Peter Elliott (Shortland Street) retraced the steps of early settlers and their famous expeditions in Explorers. The four-part series takes turns to look at arduous journeys by adventurers Charles Heaphy, Thomas Brunner, Alpheus/Alphonse Barrington, and William Colenso. At the New Zealand Screen Awards in 2005, Elliott was awarded Best Presenter, and cinematographer Peter Young was named for Best Camera.
