Led by presenter Ginette McDonald, the Firth Ground Force team has 48 hours and a strict budget of $3500 to transform Brent’s "boring" backyard into his very own slice of Pakuranga paradise. His mates have arranged a weekend fishing trip to keep him away from home while his wife Merrell teams up with Ginette and the landscaping crew. It's all hands on deck with the help of some friendly neighbours. Everyone pitches in to build a decorative pergola, install a new patio, and plant lush hydrangeas and fatsias. The TV One series was based on the format of the British Ground Force series.
Here we are, fatsias ... they're related to the castor oil plant, but unlike their cousins, they’re not poisonous and they're a lovely tropical-looking plant.– Gardener Karen Jackson shops at the garden centre for plants for Brent's backyard
