The 48Hours filmmaking competition is an important showcase for young and aspiring Kiwi filmmakers. The 2020 edition was unusual by any measure; due to the restrictions of level 4 lockdown, competitors were limited to creating films within their own household bubble. Despite this extra hurdle, entries flooded in, with 1203 films arriving before cutoff time. This animated winning entry from writer/director Sam Harris offers a hilarious fast forward into the future, with ageing 'millennial' parents getting schooled in outrageous new technology by their jaded son. The best line is saved until last.
