In the 1970s and 80s Ian Fraser won a reputation as an able and intelligent current affairs interviewer. After time working in public relations, he returned to television with avengeance in the 1990s. His longest-running show that decade was this weekly slot, which debuted in 1994. The current affairs show investigated everything from euthanasia to politics and immigration. Alongside a long run of politicians and experts of various kinds, Fraser interviewed figurs from the arts, and the occasional international guest.
