Fur Patrol

Pop/rock band Fur Patrol first appeared in 1998, with their EP Starlifter. Though it got the four-piece some notice, it was the band's debut album Pet that really got the ball rolling. The striking hit single 'Lydia' was the most played song on New Zealand radio in 2001, and Fur Patrol finished the year with four New Zealand Music Awards. A shift to Australia followed, and in 2003 they recorded second album Collider in Melbourne. The band split in 2008 after album Local Kid; they briefly reunited to support British band Swervedriver in 2016. Now a solo artist, front woman Julia Deans released her first album Modern Fables in 2010.
