Girl vs. Boy

This light-hearted show for young adults centres on the awkward but well-meaning Maxine (Courtney Abbot). Maxine is never far from drama, whether investigating a mysterious relationship meltdown, becoming a poster child for her seaside suburb (series two), or facing a crazed school principal (series three). Created by David Stubbs and Thomas Robins (Emmy-nominated mystery Reservoir Hill), Girl vs Boy was nominated for a 2012 NZ TV Award for Best Children's/Youth Programme, and won two Silver Scrolls for Tom McLeod's score.
