In 2005 Sir Howard Morrison marked his 70th year with a collection of concerts celebrating 50 years in entertainment. Dobbed 'A Knight with A Dame', Morrison opened his birthday tour with this TV special at Auckland's Civic Theatre. The main guest is opera star Dame Malvina Major, who wows the (mostly) older audience with her vocal mastery. She joins Morrison in duets like 'Amigos Para Siempre' (Friends for Life) and 'Hine E Hine". Other performers include classical singers Yulia and Shaun Dixon, members of Morrison's talented whānau and Gerry Merito, an original member of the Howard Morrison Quartet.
Big night. You can't go anywhere, the doors are locked.– Sir Howard Morrison's light-hearted intro to his calling card 'How Great Thou Art/Whakaaria Mai', late in the concert
