This docudrama series combines interviews with reenactments, to tell the stories of New Zealanders who were wrongly convicted of crimes. Focusing on a different case each instalment, the 45-minute episodes explain the crime itself, the legal proceedings that led to the wrongful conviction and the aftermath for those involved. The intimate interviews have a particular focus on the emotional impact of being found guilty. The series was made by production company Screentime New Zealand, and ran for two seasons in 2015 and 2017.
