INSiDE - First Episode

Television (Trailer and Full Length Episode) – 2020

Inspired by the Covid-19 lockdown and shot within a small creative bubble, Emmy-winning comic thriller INSiDE is truly an in-house project. Director Peter Salmon created the series with writers Shoshana McCallum and actor/writer Dan Musgrove (Westside). Salmon's partner Morgana O'Reilly (Mean Mums) plays tortured introvert Rose. In this first episode, Rose uses her job as a worker for a video chat app to snoop on peoples' lives — and one customer in particular. Her actions have consequences, as painful memories flood back into the present. In 2021 the series won an International Emmy for Best Short-Form Series.

Humans have an innate need to connect to each other. And through Covid, the kind of weird irony of it is that in a time of high anxiety and fear and worry, you’re not allowed to touch each other. And then you’ve got Rose, who is a social reject anyway. She doesn’t like people and doesn’t feel comfortable with them ... whether it’s a particularly ethical way to do it, she finds that she really does want to see people...
– Actor Morgana O'Reilly on her character of Rose, Stuff, 6 August 2020
