Newsreader Bernadine Oliver-Kerby laps up the sun, sea and ancient history in Croatia during this Intrepid Journey. Inbetween fighting off romantic advances from passionate locals, Oliver-Kerby island-hops on the Dalmatian coast, stumbles across a traditional wedding, and absorbs the country's dark past as she walks past bullet hole-pocked houses on the Bosnian and Serbian border. Oliver-Kerby also visits badly-damaged village Dalj, where her brother worked as a peacekeeper in the early 1990s. She celebrates her birthday in a stifling tent and also visits an ancient Roman bathhouse.
