Television (Full Length) – 1997
Presented by Gary McCormick, this sequel to hit Shirley Horrocks documentary Kiwiana continues its celebration of Kiwi popular culture. There's creativity and invention on display at annual A&P shows, and the legend around 'number eight wire' is explained. Ray Edmonds talks about his family's cookbook reaching a nation of 'housewives' and there's rigorous testing at the Supreme Pie Awards. Actor Ian Mune credits the pioneering drama Pukemanu with introducing genuine Kiwi accents to audiences at a time when broadcasters still deferred to Mother England.
