Mitre 10 Changing Rooms - First Episode

Television (Full Length Episode) – 1998

In this Kiwi version of the British home renovations series, two Auckland couples spend two days and $2,000 renovating a room in each other's houses. With the encouragement of interior designers Neil McLachlan and Jennie Dunlop, neither couple plays it safe, with Noeline and Bruce's lounge receiving a bold colour scheme of yellow, black and animal print, whilst Kim and Neil's kitchen is re-painted green, yellow and purple. Presenter Kerry Smith (Gloss actor) rolls up her sleeves to help, too. Neighbours Noeline and Kim are both lost for words during the big reveal  — but in a good way as they love the new rooms.

They have a completely free hand to totally transform a room in each other's homes. But the good part is, they have absolutely no idea about what's going on in their own house in the meantime.
