Monstomping!

'Monstomping!' is the musical accompaniment to picture book Did You Hear a Monster?, written by author, animator and musician Raymond McGrath. The accompanying video won McGrath his second screen industry accolade. It's a barnstorming tune, full of joyous handclaps and foot stomps, and haystacks turning into shaggy, music-loving monsters. The longtime animator created the video partly by hand, crafting it as an introduction to the characters in his book. Monstomping was named Best Children's Music Video at the 2017 NZ Children's Music Awards.

I would like to raise awareness for the children's music industry, children's publishing, the awards and the cool stuff people are doing for kids. It's one of those creative areas that not a great deal of people know about.
