Mysterious Ways
Film (Trailer) – 2023
Anglican priest Peter (played by British actor Richard Short, from Canadian TV series Mary Kills People) and boyfriend Jason (Nick Afoa, from stage musical The Lion King) want to get married. But their plans for a church wedding ignite a painful debate. Samoan-Kiwi Jason has to deal with his family's strict cultural beliefs, and Peter clashes with Anglican church hierarchy. In this trailer Peter and Jason's relationship starts to fray under pressure. The self-funded drama marks the fourth feature from director Paul Oremland (100 Men). It was shot in and around St Luke's Church in Mt Albert, Auckland.
