Comedian and presenter Ginette McDonald gets up close and personal to a slew of interesting New Zealanders, under the guise of being their Personal Assistant for a day. Over the course of ten episodes, P.A. for a Day offered insight into some extraordinary professions. Subjects include public figures like Prime Minister Helen Clark, 'Mad Butcher' Peter Leitch and Kingz soccer coach Wynton Rufer — but there were also episodes featuring those doing fascinating work outside of the public eye, such as a plastic surgeon and the Chief Censor of films and books. The series ran for one reason in 2001.
