Pacific Solution tells the story of a group of Afghani refugees fleeing the Taliban, who were rescued from a sinking boat off Australia by Norwegian freighter MV Tampa. Filmed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Nauru, Australia and New Zealand, the documentary follows the fate of several boys who were given the chance to start over in New Zealand. This excerpt follows members of the refugees' families on an extended journey from Iran to New Zealand by bus, truck and plane. Pacific Solution examines a growing worldwide refugee crisis.
