Pipi Mā

Television, 2017–2023

Based on the toy franchise of the world's first 100% Māori speaking dolls, Pipi Mā is an animated series for pre-schoolers that follows young tamariki who speak te reo Māori. Pipi, Hura, Tītoki and Pītau Pōtiki are a group of four friends who get up to all sorts of fun and learning at their kōhunga (full Māori immersion kindergarten)  with their adventures also teaching lessons about literacy, numeracy and behaviour. First launching in 2018, the series was originally a collaboration between Rotorua-based production company Long White Cloud (formerly Punarau Media), and Auckland animation studio Mukpuddy.
