Pluto

Pluto's eclectic first album Red Light Syndrome showcased the guitars and paired vocals of Tim Arnold and one-time child actor Milan Borich. Record company conflicts helped delay Pluto's rockier follow-up Pipeline Under the Ocean until 2005; but the results sold far better, and 'Long White Cross' was named Single of the Year at the 2006 NZ Music Awards. The fourth Pluto album took another decade to arrive, after the band fell apart, and effectively split in two: Nightchoir, with vocals by former Pluto/Brunettes bassist Mike Hall, backed by Matthias Jordan and Michael Franklin-Browne, and the Borich and Arnold-led Debbie and the Downers.
